2012 Mock NFL Draft

Indianapolis Colts

#1

QB - Andrew Luck

  (Stanford | 6 ft. 4 in. | 234lbs | 4.7)
In our Mock NFL Draft, we have Luck as a lock in the #1 spot. Irsay will play it safe yet again as they did with Manning over Ryan Leaf. Although in retrospect it is hard to imagine that this was once a big debate.

2012 Mock NFL Draft

Washington Redskins

#2

QB - Robert Griffin III

  (Baylor | 6 ft. 5 in. | 334lbs | 5.49)
The Redskins traded up to grab Shanahan's franchise quarterback. This Mock NFL Draft disagrees with Donovan McNabb and thinks that RG3 has the talent to fit well into this zone blocking scheme which will open up some running lanes when things break down.

2012 Mock NFL Draft

Minnesota Vikings

#3

OT - Matt Kalil

  (USC | 6 ft. 7 in. | 306lbs | 4.99)
You've seen in it most Mock NFL Drafts online. The most talented tackle in the draft will be a staple in the vikings offense for years to come. Not only will he help Ponder stay off the turf, but he'll open a nice hole in the running lane for 'All Day' to get back to his former glory.

2012 Mock NFL Draft

Cleveland Browns

#4

RB - Trent Richardson

  (Alabama | 5 ft 9 in | 228lbs | 4.45)
Trent Richardson is by far the most well rounded back in this Mock NFL Draft. He can catch out of the backfield run and has a killer juke move. And the Browns have a huge need at tailback for a player like this after letting Hillis go to the Chiefs. It's hard to imagine that they wouldn't have offered Peyton Hillis more than the $3M / 1 year deal he got in KC.

2012 Mock NFL Draft

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

#5

CB - Morris Claiborne

  (LSU | 5' 11" | 186lbs | 4.45)
Claiborne was not perseived as a 1st round pick his sophmore year, but after playing opposite of Patrick Peterson, this Mock NFL Draft boosted his rankings in the last two years. We believe his horrible Wonderlic score (4 of 30) will be overlooked for his incredible football talent. Most GM's realize that these kids aren't solving math problems out there and the game is all about insincts, something that this kid most certainly has.

2012 Mock NFL Draft

St. Louis Rams

#6

WR - Justin Blackmon

  (Oklahoma State | 6 ft 1 in | 207lbs | 4.46)
Mock NFL Draft sees blackmon as even more talented than his OSU predecessor Dez Bryant. He is more NFL ready, and Jeff Fischer will be looking for a play maker for Sam Bradford to throw to. St Louis hasn't had this kind of receiver since Tory Holt, and blackmon is way more athletic than Holt ever was.

2012 Mock NFL Draft

Jacksonville Jaguars

#7

WR - Michael Floyd

  (Notre Dame | 6 ft. 3 in. | 228lbs | 4.52)
Mock NFL Draft believes Michael Floyd will be overdrafted this year because of the lack of receiver talent in this years draft. Behind Blackmon in Floyd, there is a huge talent dropoff until you reach the likes of Alshon Jeffery who has the talent, but dropped way too many balls in college.

2012 Mock NFL Draft

Miami Dolphins

#8

QB - Ryan Tannehill

  (Texas A&M | 6 ft. 4 in. | 220lbs | 4.65)
In this version of our Mock NFL Draft, we have Tannehill falling to the Dolphins. He will be reunited with Mike Sherman his coach at Texas A&M. Many people don't remember that Ryan was a receiver in high school and his first 2 years in college before he secured the starting spot, so this kid is athletic and fast. The Dolphins will hope he's better than the slew of 2nd round busts they seem to miss on every year.

2012 Mock NFL Draft

Carolina Panthers

#9

DT - Dontari Poe

  (Memphis | 6' 3" | 346lbs | 4.98)
Speaking of overdrafting, Mock NFL Draft believes that Dontari Poe's combine will have Ron Rivera desparate to get this kind of talent rushing the passer in Carolina. The panthers had tons of Offense last year and if the defense can hold teams to under 20 points, then they will have a playoff contender. Coach Rivera knows from San Diego what a great pash rush can do, and will certainly go defense with this pick.

2012 Mock NFL Draft

Buffalo Bills

#10

OT - Riley Reiff

  (Iowa | 6" 6' | 313lbs | 5.23)
Mock NFL Draft believes that Riley is the second best tackle in the draft. Critics will say that his arms are too short, but this Big Ten All Pro replaced the big shoes of Bryan Bulaga, and filled them nicely. You'll see Riley starting from day one on sundays.

2012 Mock NFL Draft

Kansas City Chiefs

#11

G - David Decastro

  (Stanford | 6' 5" | 315lbs | 5.43)
Mock NFL Draft thinks Decastro will be the next Steve Hutchinson. He didn't let up a sack on Andrew Luck All Year and that was impressive with the way those west coast teams were blitzing him all year.

2012 Mock NFL Draft

Seattle Seahawks

#12

DE - Melvin Ingram

  (South Carolina | 6' 1" | 264lbs | 4.79)
Mock NFL Draft believe the stats 10 sacks, 15 tackles for loss, and two interceptions (both for touchdowns) all in one year will earn you top consideration in the first round. They say you can't argue with production, and this kid has it. He's also been the leader on a #4 ranked BCS Defense.

2012 Mock NFL Draft

Arizona Cardinals

#13

ILB - Luke Kuechly

  (Boston College | 6' 3" | 245lbs | 4.58)
Mock NFL Draft is a huge fan of this kid. Besides breaking the ACC tackling record, wining the Butkus Award, Lott Impact trocphy, Bronko Nagurski Trophy, and the Lombardi award. This kid played some smashmouth football and was the leader on the defense. This kid will be a pro bowler one day. You heard it here first!

2012 Mock NFL Draft

Dallas Cowboys

#14

DE - Quinton Coples

  (North Carolina | 6 ft. 6 in. | 272lbs | 4.78)
Mock NFL Draft sees this kid with 24.5 sacks in two seasons as a beast! Even though he took plays off I think this kid has the motor that will require offensive coordinators to give help to that side. He reminds me of Gaines Adams from Clemson a few years back. Unlike Gaines, hopefully his heart is the right size and will live a healthy productive NFL career.

2012 Mock NFL Draft

Philadelphia Eagles

#15

DT - Fletcher Cox

  (Mississippi State | 6 ft 4 in | 298lbs | 5.6)
Cox had incredible production is his time with Mississippi. Mock NFL Draft has him ranked in the mid first round. Mel Kiper compared this kid to Marcel Dareus from last years draft. And Marcel went in the top 10.

2012 Mock NFL Draft

New York Jets

#16

ILB - Courtney Upshaw

  (Alabama | 6 ft. 2 in. | 263lbs | 4.73)
Mock NFL Draft knows this Senior Linebacker from the national championship where he showed up big time. He was named the Defensive MVP of that game and will surely be a leader in the NFL.

2012 Mock NFL Draft

Cincinnati Bengals

#17

CB - Dre Kirkpatrick

  (Alabama | 6 ft 2 in | 186lbs | 4.45)
Mock NFL Draft had Dre as a top 10 pick before his arrest. He certainly has all the talent in the world, but like his fellow first round LSU cornerback, he's lacking in common sense. But his talent is far to overwhelming to overlook him at this part of the draft.

2012 Mock NFL Draft

San Diego Chargers

#18

OLB - Whitney Mercilus

  (Illinois | 6ft 4in | 291lbs | 4.68)
Mock NFL Draft knows this kid from his Junior season where he broke out leading the country in sacks (16) and forced 8 fumbles. He was a voice onthe defense and will continue to put up numbers in the NFL.

2012 Mock NFL Draft

Chicago Bears

#19

WR - Kendall Wright

  (Baylor | 5 ft. 10 in. | 190lbs | 4.43)
Mock NFL Draft likes Kendall Wright production and hopes it's not just because RG3 was so good in college. Wright is an athlete and can play basketball almost as well as he can play football. With the emergence of guys like Jimmy Graham, the NFL will be more keen on this type of player.

2012 Mock NFL Draft

Tennessee Titans

#20

DT - Michael Brockers

  (LSU | 6 ft 5 in | 322lbs | 5.36)
Mock NFL Draft is taking a rick with Brockers and ranking him this high because of the need for a good Defensive tackle on this team. They may also go offense, but Brockers can plug up the lane and has proven to constantly eat up double teams in the SEC.

2012 Mock NFL Draft

Cincinnati Bengals

#21

OG - Cordy Glenn

  (Georgia | 6 ft. 5 in. | 345lbs | 5.34)
Mock NFL Draft loves the raw talent of this kid. He's all over the boards on Mock Drafts aroudn the country, but one thing is for sure. The production on this kid in college and his durability stand out. This position often has injuries and he's managed to stay relatively free of all that thoughout his tenure at this school.

2012 Mock NFL Draft

Cleveland Browns

#22

OT - Jonathan Martin

  (Stanford | 6 ft. 6 in. | 305lbs | N/A)
Mock NFL Draft loves Stanford Players in the first round. Decastro, Luck and Now Martin will off come off the offensive side of the ball. This kis has all the tangibles and intangibles franchises look for in this protypical position.

2012 Mock NFL Draft

Detroit Lions

#23

CB - Janoris Jenkins

  (Florida | 5 ft. 11 in. | 186lbs | 4.52)
Mock NFL Draft believes that Jenkins plays the coverage position most fluidly out of all the draft eligible players. His numbers were almost ideantical to Joe Haden for Florida almost 2 years ago. You'll see Jenkins off the board before the steelers are on the clock.

2012 Mock NFL Draft

Pittsburgh Steelers

#24

OLB - Donta Hightower

  (Alabama | 6 ft 2 in | 265lbs | 4.68)
You'll see Dont'a Hightower all over Mock NFL Draft's. He learned from a former NFL coach and played in an NFL system to win the national title. He's ready to make the leap and be an impact player at the next level.

2012 Mock NFL Draft

Denver Broncos

#25

WR - Stephen Hill

  (Georgia Tech | 6 ft 4 in | 215lbs | 4.36)
We love Hills production and protypical size. 1,200 yard and 9 touchdowns running a 4.33 and standing 6'4" is just some reasons that Mock NFL Draft loves Stephen Hill. Other than that, he doesn't seem to drop many balls. We see him going before Alshon Jeffery for this reason.

2012 Mock NFL Draft

Houston Texans

#26

DE - Nick Perry

  (USC | 6 ft 3 in | 271lbs | 4.64)
Leading the Pac-12 in sacks is great and boosted Mock NFL Draft's perception of him as a non-impact player. He might need to be a highbrid linebacker at the next level but that switch has been working for lots of player in the NFL, See Demarcus Ware and Brian Orakpo.

2012 Mock NFL Draft

New England Patriots

#27

DT - Devon Still

  (Penn State | 6 ft. 5 in. | 312lbs | 4.93)
This Big Ten Defensive Lineman of the Year falls into the first round of our Mock NFL Draft. He was team captain of the Nitty Lions and has one of the most vicious sacks I've ever seen.

2012 Mock NFL Draft

Green Bay Packers

#28

CB - Stephon Gilmore

  (South Carolina | 6 ft. 1 in. | N/Albs | 4.4)
Here at Mock NFL Draft we are impressed with Gilmore. He was the rare true freshman to start at cornerback in the Southeastern Conference in 2009. Gilmore even played some offense, and completed a pass to Alshon Jeffery in the Chick fil-A Bowl. But all gimicks aside, Gilmore has the raw talent to cover all SEC receivers and most likely NFL receivers too.

2012 Mock NFL Draft

Baltimore Ravens

#29

C - Peter Konz

  (Wisconson | 6 ft 5 in | 314lbs | 5.65)
Konz has these massive hands which seems to knock all defenders he touched off balance. Here at Mock NFL Draft we'd go as far to say that we've never seen the first push knock defenders off balance so consistently since Jeff Saturday did this back in 2006. He's sure to make an impact on this offensive line.

2012 Mock NFL Draft

San Francisco 49ers

#30

TE - Coby Fleener

  (Stanford | 6 ft. 6 in. | 245lbs | 4.85)
Luck's favorite target all season will sneak into the first round. With the emergence of Rob Groncowski all Mock NFL Drafts are kicking up the value of Tight Ends. And this tight End is no different. He has the speed and the hands to make a bug impact in this league. Don't discount the two tight end offense that Coach Harbaugh loves to run.

2012 Mock NFL Draft

New England Patriots

#31

SS - Mark Barron

  (Alabama | 6 ft. 2 in. | 210lbs | 4.56)
Barron has some character concerns that teams are scred of. He was arrested last year on a suspicious charge that all the details never seemed to come out on. However there is no denying he is an elite talent and under the right guidence, Barron will return to his former glory. And there's no doubt that the Pats need some help in their secondary.

2012 Mock NFL Draft

New York Giants

#32

RB - David Wilson

  (Virginia Tech | 5 ft 10 in | 205lbs | 4.40)
Wilson rounds out our top round with the Giants. Wilson shows at virgina tech that he is a very capable back which can withstand the entire workload. And with Jacobs gone and Bradshaw coming off kneww surgery thats exactly what the Giants will be looking to address. Most Mock NFL Drafts have the G-men taking a tailback here.
